Xmas fun!

Living in Florida is an oxymoron for Christmas. It is supposed to be winter, yet the temperatures are in the 80's. Where's the chill? Where's the need for sweaters and oven mittens for your hands? It is just too hot for winter!
My hubby is desperate for a white Xmas as we have never experienced one. Having lived in Australia, Xmas down under falls in the summer. Or should I say, the temperature equals to what hell would be. House paint is peeled off from the extreme sun.
Okay, okay, I hear my Aussie friends say, "hey, it's not so bad," while wiping the sweat of their brow, peeling the sticky, sweat stained shirt from their skin, and sitting in a stuffy hot office reading my blog. LOL... You know who you are.
Back to Xmas, I had a lovely day with my husband and daughter. My daughter received way too many presents from Santa and my hubby surprised me with a gift that took him months to organized. A water-colour (yes, colour is spelled that way) painting of myself, him and our daughter. It is was a wonderful surprise and it hangs on our dining room wall.
I got him a guitar, since he has wanted to learn since he was a child. I am thinking now is the time. Life is too short.
I invited over friends for a small Xmas Eve dinner, and we had a wonderful time. Suffice to say, it has renewed my husband's belief that I attract the most colourful of characters in my life. I wouldn't have it any other way!
I hope you all have a wonderful New Years Eve!
All the best
Lyn
